What is (and isn't) covered?

Transparency is our keyword. We can repair a lot, but some types of damage – such as those caused by clumsiness or external factors – fall outside our coverage.

✅ Covered (Technical failure)

  • Problems with the logic board (motherboard) and physical buttons.
  • Faulty network connections such as WiFi and Bluetooth.
  • A touchscreen that no longer responds (partially).
  • Microphone and speaker failure (provided free of moisture/dust).
  • Battery capacity that drops unusually fast (below 70%) within 2 years.

❌ Not covered (User damage)

  • Drop, impact, or pressure damage (such as a cracked screen or broken camera lens).
  • Moisture and water damage. Note: refurbished devices are inherently no longer waterproof as they have been opened.
  • Loose parts due to improper use.
  • Damage caused by illegal software or repairs by uncertified third parties.

Is your device irreparably defective?

Sometimes a device is internally so severely damaged (due to a covered defect) that repair is no longer possible. In that case, we will replace the device, or offer a residual value compensation based on the age of your device:

How can I register my defective Apple product for repair?

You can easily register your defect via our online repair portal. Please note: before sending the device, it is crucial that you first disable Find My iPhone (FMI) and ensure you have made a secure backup of all your personal data.

How long will I be without my iPhone or MacBook during a repair?

We understand that you can't be without your tech for long. For iPhones and iPads, we aim for an average turnaround time of 14 working days. Because repairs to MacBooks and iMacs are often more complex and require specific parts, this usually takes 1 to 2 weeks longer.

Is there also a warranty on the included accessories or previous repairs?

Certainly! We offer a 12-month warranty on all included accessories, such as chargers (with the exception of physical cable breaks due to use). Have you had a repair performed by us that was outside the warranty (a paid repair)? Then you get a standard 3-month warranty on that specific repair. Please note: if you have your device opened by an external, unauthorized party, your leapp warranty will immediately expire.
