When you buy a refurbished Apple product from Leapp, you naturally want your purchase to be well protected against damage and theft. That's why we collaborate with Harmony, the specialist in insuring consumer electronics. When you make a purchase, you can easily choose a suitable and affordable insurance plan, ensuring immediate and comprehensive coverage from day one. Taking out this insurance is, of course, optional. You always have the right to legal warranty and its extensions that you receive as standard from Leapp and the Refurbished Quality Mark.
What is insured?
Your device (including original accessories such as charger and cables) is insured against, among other things*:
- Fall damage (e.g., if your device falls from your hand)
- Impact and accidental damage
- Moisture damage (e.g., falling into water or moisture)
- Damage caused by animals
- Self-inflicted damage
- Defects after the manufacturer's warranty has expired
- Damage due to power surge, fire, or lightning strike
- Other external causes
Optionally, you can also choose coverage against*:
- Theft
- Robbery (violence to snatch the device)

What is not insured?
- Intentional damage you cause yourself
- Damage incurred during criminal acts
- Damage due to negligence, such as leaving it unattended
- Theft without signs of forced entry (such as pickpocketing)
- Damage from use under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Normal wear and tear, such as batteries and accumulators
- Damage to accessories (cases, screen protectors, watch straps)
- Damage from viruses, software, or apps
- Consequential damage, such as extra costs or loss of profit due to temporary inability to use the device
Worldwide coverage
The insurance is valid worldwide: at home, while traveling, at work, or at school. Repair or replacement will be carried out via Harmony.
Starting and ending coverage
Coverage begins immediately upon purchasing the insurance. Within 14 days, you will receive the final policy via email. Whichever insurance you choose, you always have a 14-day cooling-off period. The insurance runs for a minimum of one month, after which you can cancel monthly with a one-month notice period. You can easily cancel via your My Harmony account. It's that simple! In case of non-payment, coverage will be temporarily suspended, but you remain obliged to pay the premium.

- Pay your premium on time
- Take reasonable precautions to prevent damage and theft
- Do not use your device in damp places
- Activate the track & block function on your device
- Always report theft to the police
- Report damage or theft as soon as possible via My Harmony

Claiming in case of damage or theft
- Easily report damage or theft yourself via My Harmony, the online customer portal.
- Follow the instructions received via email after your report.
- In case of theft, Harmony will contact you after assessing your claim.
- In case of damage, you will receive a message as soon as your device is repaired or replaced.
Complaints procedure
Harmony strives for reliable service. If you do have a complaint, you can submit it to the Financial Services Complaints Institute (Kifid), Postbus 93257, 2509 AG Den Haag, info@kifid.nl, or to the Insurance Ombudsman, De Meeûssquare 35, 1000 Brussels, info@ombudsman.be.
You can also report your complaint directly to Harmony Service Center B.V., acting on behalf of Lime Street Insurance PCC Limited Basel Fides Insurance Cell. This can be done by calling 010 206 86 78, by email at customercare@harmony.nl or via www.harmony.nl.
